Shirley Inman Smith

Mrs. Shirley Inman Smith, age 82, formerly of Union, widow of Harvey Smith, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born in Union, February 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Frank and Guynelle Johns Inman. She was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Milliken and Co., Monarch Plant. Mrs. Inman was a member of Union Church of God.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Edwards of Union; a sister, Mary Speer of Union; three and three grandchildren, A.J. Edwards, Cecily Edwards and Amanda Edwards. She was predeceased by two daughters, Tammy Inman and Crystal “Cricket” Inman; two brothers, Herbert Inman and Harvey Inman and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Debbie Edwards, 126 Line St., Union.
