Mrs. Shirley Jean Lee Lancaster, age 88, widow of Merchel Wayne Lancaster of Jonesville, SC went to be with the Lord Friday, July 10, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Lancaster was born in Union, January 6, 1938, the daughter of the late J.K. Lee and Ruth Mathews Lee. She was a caregiver and a member of West Springs Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lancaster is survived by daughters, Grace Campbell and husband, John, Kathy Lancaster, all of Spartanburg, Julie Adams and her husband, Dean and a son, Craig Lancaster and his wife, Tina, all of Jonesville. She also leaves behind a sister, Linda Jones and brothers, James Lee (Tammy), Ernest Lee (Debra), Joseph Lee (Erma) and special friends, Wayne Willard, Marion Birch and Gwen Holbrook. Mrs. Lancaster is also survived by grandchildren, Alan Lancaster (Anna), Joseph Lancaster (Hope), Anthony Verna (Tiffany), Mitch Adams, Tiffany Moore (Chris), Amanda Murphy (Scott), David Garrett, David Lancaster, Anna Hodge (Ben), a daughter-in-law, Candi Lancaster and numerous great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by two sons, Dennis Lancaster and his wife, June and Leon Lancaster; a grandson, Phillip Lancaster; a brother, Harold Lee; and three sisters, Mae Williams, Nancy Lawson, Alice Johnson,

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at West Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mike Royal and Rev. Scott Cannon. Burial will follow in the West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Alan Lancaster, Joseph Lancaster, Anthony Verna, Mitch Adams, David Garrett and Scott Murphy. The Friends Forever Group is asked to sit as a group.

The family will be at the home, 896 John Hart Rd., Jonesville. SC 29353 from 12 PM until 9 PM every day prior to the service.
