Shirley Millwood

December 19, 2015 Mrs. Shirley Spencer Millwood, age 75, wife of James "Dick" Millwood of 150 April Road, Pacolet, SC, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 18, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Millwood was born in Spartanburg, SC July 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Lloyd Spencer, Sr and Martha Solomon Spencer. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Kathy Byrd and husband Dennis; two sons: Larry Millwood and friend Kelly Dewes and Jimmy Millwood and wife Peggy; a sister-in-law, Joanne Gilliland all of Pacolet; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters: Doris Bailey and Juanita Ayers; three brothers: Rickey Spencer, Billy Spencer and Robert "Dooby" Spencer all of Pacolet and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Millwood was predeceased by a sister, Sara McKelvey and a brother, Lloyd Spencer, Jr. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 21, 2015 at Pacolet First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Sparks and Pastor Lisa Parfitt. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Guyton, Derrick Byrd, Kenneth Spencer, Michael Millwood, Jordan Spencer, Alvin Littlejohn, Steve Parker and DJ Wells. Visitation will be held 11:00-12:45 PM Monday in the church prior to the service. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the nurses and staff of Blue Ridge Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Millwood.
