Shirley M. Mobley

April 30, 2019 Mrs. Shirley Mason Mobley, age 84, widow of Johnny Franklin Mobley of W. Main St., Union, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Mobley was born in Middlesboro, KY, August 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Louise Barney Mason Patrick. She graduated high school in North Carolina and attended Queen's College in Charlotte. Mrs. Mobley retired as bookkeeper with the Salvation Army Ministries in Union after many years of service alongside Capt. Chaney and his wife. She had served as a Sunday School teacher and was a pianist for the church. Later she attended Full Gospel Tabernacle of God and was always a strong servant of God throughout her lifetime. Mrs. Mobley is survived by a daughter, Anita L. Mobley of the home; a sister, Patricia Williams and two brothers, Doug Patrick and Oliver Patrick and their families.
