Shirley (Pickavant) Patterson

Mrs. Shirley Pickavant Patterson, age 82, of 332 River Ridge Rd., Pacolet, widow of Charles William Patterson, passed away, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Patterson was born October 5, 1939, in Providence, RI, a daughter of the late Clifford Pickavant and Amy Johnson Pickavant.  She was a graduate of Toleman High School in Rhode Island. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are four daughters, Noren Swartz and husband Michael of Providence, RI, Wendy Cash and husband Gerald of Pacolet, Lori Lema and husband Edward of Rhode Island, and Charlene Riggons and husband David of New York; two sons, David Patterson and wife Lisa of Myrtle Beach and Daniel Patterson and wife Melissa of Pacolet; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Michael Bradley.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Asermly, Joshua Gomes, Stephen Lema, Danny Cash, James Cash, Jeremy Cash, Shawn Cash, and David Riggons.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their love and care of Mrs. Patterson during her illness.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Wendy Cash and husband Gerald, 330 River Ridge Rd., Pacolet, SC 29372.
