Shirley Cargill Price

Mrs. Shirley Cargill Price, age 76 of 203 Cottage Ave., Union, widow of Lawrence Price, Sr., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Mrs. Price was born in Union, SC on September 11, 1939 a daughter of the late Fred Robert Cargill and Lucille Campbell Price. She was retired from the textile industry. Mrs. Price was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Angela Price Knighton and husband Michael of Union; two sons, Lawrence Larry Price, Jr. and wife Jennifer and Brian Keith Price and wife Kim all of Union; three sisters, Faye Rodgers of Union, Brenda Williams of Buffalo, and Teresa Johns of Buffalo; one foster child, Shawn Garner of Union; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by on son, Steven Lynn Price and one sister, Virginia Gregory. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Crestview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Josh Freeman. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Gerald Alman, Jimmy Helton, Mark Cope, Allen Johns, and Bob Sprouse. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Crestview Baptist Church, 1100 Furman Fendley Hwy., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her daughter, Angela P. Knighton and husband Michael 245 Deepwater Rd., Union, SC 29379.
