Shirley Ann Sanders Union, Sc

Mrs. Shirley Ann Johnson Sanders, age 75, wife of Charles F. Sanders of 131 Woodhaven Dr., Union, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Sanders was born in Union, February 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Malcom and Ida Evans Johnson. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from the John Wolfe division of Cone Mill, Carlisle Plant. Mrs. Sanders was a member of New Life Baptist Church and had taught Preschool Sunday School for over 40 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediately family. Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 48 years are numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at New Life Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shannon Faulkner and Rev. Guy Langston. Burial will be at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the services. Active pallbearers will be Chris Sanders, Craig Sanders, Ed Sanders, Chad Greer, Vince Vanderford, Nicholas Vanderford, Harrison Vanderford and Alex Greer. The following are asked to form the honorary escort: Bobby and Ester DeHart, Harold and Bobbie Jean Lawson and Rachel Ward.
