Shirley P. Shrader

Mrs. Shirley Potter Shrader, age 85, of 103 North 4 St., Lockhart, widow of J.C. Shrader, passed away, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Shrader was born in Blytheville, AK, December 14, 1937, a daughter of the late Murrow Potter and Corlelia Smith Potter Bratcher. She was a graduate of Gosnell High School and retired from Milliken and Co., Lockhart Plant.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Snipes and husband Michael of Greenville, NC; two sons, Michael Shrader and Johnny Shrader and wife Beverly both of Lockhart; two sisters, Barbara Hogan of Columbus, GA, and Carolyn Gordon and husband Sammy of Jonesboro, AK. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Shrader was predeceased by a daughter, Pam Jennings.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their care of Mrs. Shrader during her illness.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Lockhart Cemetery.

The family will be at the home, 103 North 4th St., Lockhart, SC.
