Shirley B. Taylor

Mrs. Shirley Belue Taylor, age 85, widow of Jack Wix Taylor, Sr., of 210 Sweet Water Dr., Buffalo, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Union, September 22, 1937, a daughter of the late Jorden Henry Belue and Sarah Allen Belue. She was a graduate of Union High School and attended nursing school in Gaffney. Mrs. Taylor was a retired LPN from Wallace Thompson Hospital and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, John Taylor and wife Lisa of Buffalo; two sisters, Eveline B. Gibbs and husband Bobby Joe of Union, and Mable B. Walls of Camden; six grandchildren, Heather Taylor Phillips and husband Daniel of Concord, NC, Anthony Taylor, Matthew Taylor and wife Jessica, Barry Taylor and wife Christy all of Union, Jerrylyn Burton and husband Rudy of Kansas and DeAnne Hyder and husband Chad of Spartanburg; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by a son, Jack W. Taylor, Jr., two sisters, Margaret B. Jones and Joyce Belue, and two brothers, James Edward Belue and J.R. Belue.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Estes. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Phillips, Matthew Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Chad Hyder, Dalton Lipsey and Kagen Taylor.
