Stanley R. Alexander

April 26, 2017 Mr. Stanley R. Alexander, age 73, husband of Genelle Carter Alexander, of 300 Partridge Rd., Union, passed away, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his home. Mr. Alexander was born May 14, 1943 in Union, SC a son of the late, Ralph Alexander and Jeanette Ivey Alexander. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Phillips and Swings Transport. Mr. Alexander was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard Lockhart Unit. He was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Peggy Williams and husband John Lee and Susan Williams and husband Jerry all of Union; two nieces, Lori Barnett of Spartanburg and Tracy Petty and husband Kip of Jonesville; two nephews, Mark Williams of Union and Chris Williams and wife LeAnn of Missouri; four great-nieces and three great-nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Chris Gulledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Addis, Jerry Freeman, Glenn Sparrow, and Reggie Robertson. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
