Stanley Michael Palmer

January 1, 2017 Mr. Stanley Michael Palmer, age 68 of 121 Hogpen Rd., Union, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his home. Mr. Palmer was born in Union, SC on January 21, 1948 a son of the late Willie Oliver Palmer and Ruby Vaughan Palmer. He retired from Milliken and Company and was a Veteran of the S.C. National Guard and a Shriner. Mr. Palmer was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Surviving are a special niece, Deborah Palmer Clanton and a special great-niece, Jennifer Ruby Lee Turner; four brothers, William Ronald Palmer and wife Brenda of Union, Robert Donald Palmer and wife Patricia of Lockhart, Billy Palmer and wife Shirley of Buffalo, and Carl Palmer and wife Kathy of Atlanta; one sister, Katherine Jett of Texas; nephews: William Eric Palmer of Virginia Beach, Kevin Lee Palmer and wife Melindy of Kings Mountain, Sidney Palmer and wife Anne of Jonesville, Billy Palmer and wife Cathy of Buffalo, Jerry Palmer and wife Ann of Buffalo and Garrett Hartzog of GA; two special great-nephews, Will Palmer and Daniel Clanton and wife Julie of Buffalo; a special great-niece Von Palmer of Kings Mountain; a niece, Cheryl Thomas of GA. and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, William Bradley Palmer, four sisters, Betty Thomas, Frances Palmer, JoAnn Palmer and Mary Richardson; four brothers, James Palmer, Oliver Palmer, Thomas Palmer, and Harold E. "Sonny" Palmer. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be immediately following the services at the home. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Mark Clanton, William Eric Palmer, Kevin Lee Palmer, Billy Allen Palmer, Jerry Wayne Palmer and Eddie Bailey.
