August 21, 2015 Mr. Stanley Bruce Vaughan, 64, husband of Gay Callahan Vaughan of 137 Rainbow Lane, Jonesville, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home after a brief illness. Mr. Vaughan was born in Union, SC May 19, 1951, a son of the late John Earl Vaughan and Ernestine McBride Vaughan. He attended Jonesville High School and was retired from the textile industry. Mr. Vaughan was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Vaughan was a true example of perseverance. James 1:12: "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of Life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him." Stanley has received his crown and for that we are thankful. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Michael Vaughan and wife Kim Shrader Vaughan of Jonesville, Shane Vaughan of Union and Jonathan Vaughan and wife Charity Gossett Vaughan of N.C.; a brother, Buddy Vaughan and wife Kay; a sister, Karen Whitehead and husband Charles; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Jonathan Vaughan. Active pallbearers will be Billy Morris, Gary Brown, Jordan Callahan, Randall Morgan, Derrill Eaves and Eric Eaves. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Callahan, Jr, Jerry Gossett, James Shrader and Dwain Knighton. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.
