Mrs. Stella Aileen Quinn, widow of Howard "Pete" Quinn, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 5, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born on October 17, 1936, in Union County, a daughter of the late Joseph Paul and Sunie Henson Heatherly.
Mrs. Quinn was a graduate of Jonesville High School and worked more than 30 years as a beloved receptionist at Union Family Practice, where she cared deeply for patients and worked faithfully alongside Drs. Hope, Hames, and Keith. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and devoted member of West Springs Baptist Church, where she served on numerous committees, taught Sunday School, led WMU, sang in the church choir, and served with mission teams in Honduras and Montana. Her life was marked by deep faith, a servant's heart, and steadfast love for her church family and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Vance Quinn and wife Becky and Pam Gault and husband Mike. She found great joy in her grandchildren who meant the world to her, Jaime Williamson (Matt), Jessica Thompson (Brad), Michael Gault (Kellie), Adam Gault (Jayla), and Bella Fisher. She was a proud great grandmother to Ty and Brett Williamson, Kinleigh, Halleigh, and Paisleigh Thompson, Quinn and Wells Gault, and Cameron Gault. She is also survived by special sisters-in-love, Edith Heatherly and Sue Parks and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Aileen was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucinda Arnold and Jesse (Becky) Heatherly and brothers, Herbert, S.J., Ralph, Junior, and Broadus Heatherly and a great granddaughter Maggie Williamson.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving care team from MSA Hospice along with caregivers, Frona Phillips, Dana Heatherly, Judy Bobo, Betty Lou Johnson, Tammy Graham, Kathy Cudd, Sarah Heatherly, Linda Mayes and many others who held a special place in her heart. These along with members of her Senior Ladies Sunday School Class and Senior Adult Life Group are asked to sit in a group.
A celebration of her life will be held at West Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, August 9th at 3:00pm, conducted by Rev. Mike Royal and Rev. Matt Williamson. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45-2:45 in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gault, Adam Gault, Matt Williamson, Brad Thompson, Ty Williamson, and Brett Williamson.
The family is at the home, 1627 Mudbridge Road, Jonesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church (Bus Fund), 4811 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Pauline, SC 29374.
