Stella S. Quinn

Mrs. Stella Shetley Barrier Quinn, age 87 of Elford Grove Rd., Jonesville, widow of John D. Quinn, Jr., passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Quinn was born February 1, 1937 in Wolf Creek, Cocke county, TN, a daughter of the late Lester "Bud" Shetley and Ada Ellis Shetley. She was a graduate of Union High School and had retired as Division Labor Coordinator with Colonial Stores Grocery chain. Mrs. Quinn was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. She was first married to the late Earl Barrier.

Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Gillian and husband Bobby of Beaufort; a son, Nelson Barrier and wife Nona of Boiling Springs; a sister, Ruth Crayne of Union and a brother, Buddy Shetley of Union. She is also survived by grandchildren, Robert Gillian and wife Brandi, April Gillian, and Travis Barrier and wife Lauren; great-grandchildren, Ezzie Gillian, Adley Barrier and Caleb Reed; s sister-in-law, Brenda Shetley; a special friend, Tammy Brewington and numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jettie Johnson and Linda Williams; a brother, Robert Shetley, and a great granddaughter, Savannah Gillian. She was also predeceased by her grand-dog, Bear, who she loved keeping with her.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to ProMedica of Union and Spartanburg Regional Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Quinn during her illness.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. Shawn Head. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
