Steve “Shine” Hutcherson

September 13, 2017 Mr. Francis Steve "Shine" Hutcherson, age 64, of 936 Linersville Rd., Union, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home after a brief illness. Mr. Hutcherson was married for 41 years to Cindy Willard Hutcherson. Mr. Hutcherson was born in Union, SC on August 23, 1953 a son of the late Harry Hutcherson and Nancy Johns Hutcherson. He retired after 39 years from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing Plant. Mr. Hutcherson was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Melissa Kendrick and husband Shane of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Dylan Kendrick and Kaylee Kendrick; two sisters, Margaret Willard of Union and Harriett Eaves and husband David of Jonesville; one brother, Dennis Hutcherson of Jonesville; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Brenda Caldwell. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Mr. Mark Foster. Visitation will be held 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Staff and Nurses of Blue Ridge Hospice for their care of Mr. Hutcherson during his illness.
