Our hero, Stonie N. Keith, WWII veteran, business owner, cattle rancher, and gentleman, passed away in the early morning hours of June 19, 2021, after a brief illness. He was the widower of the love of his life, Anneliese R. Keith, formerly of Munich, Germany.

Mr. Keith was born September 17, 1927, in Union County, SC, the seventh of 11 children of the late Jefferson Frazier and Myrtle Ellen Keith. Mr. Keith is survived by three daughters, Hermine Keith Charles (Allan), Regina Fain, and Heide Syphrit of Spartanburg; his grandchildren, Julie Frabotta (Bob) of Fairfield, CT, Christopher Frabotta (Bridget) of Galveston, TX, Michael Frabotta (Beth) of South Portland, ME, and Jennifer Rodi of Spartanburg; his great-grandchildren, Henry Louris, Justin Carter, Emily Frabotta, Amelia Frabotta, Stonie Keith Frabotta, and Audrey Frabotta; his sisters, Margaret Bushnell of Palm Coast, FL, Nellie Jo Knox of Union, and Janie Bollinger (Roger) of Lake Lanier, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lisa Jill Jackson, a great-granddaughter, Natalie Sue Frabotta, a son-in-law, Mike Fain, brothers, Martin, Robert, Conley, Jefferson Frazier, and William Tanner Keith, and sisters, Ruth Free and Bertha Fowler.

Mr. Keith was very active as long as his health permitted. He was a commissioner with the Union Soil and Water Conservation District, was an original and current member of the Board of the Meansville-Riley Road Water Co., was a member of the Union County Cattlemen's Association, Woodmen of the World Lodge 323, American Legion Post 87, and of the Romeo Lunch Club. He was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, June 21, 2021, at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chris Gulledge and Rev. David Bauknight. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Dr. David Keith, John Kingsmore, Tony Sealy, Mike Nichols, Christopher Frabotta, and Michael Frabotta. The following are asked to sit in a group, Union Soil and Water commissioners, Board of Directors Meansville-Riley Road Water Co., Cattlemen's Association, WOW Lodge 323, Romeo Lunch Club and American Legional Post 87.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mon Aetna Baptist Church, 1431 Lockhart Hwy., Union, SC 29379 or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Care, 1530 Drayton Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

The family will be at the home.
