Sue Monroe Bridges

Mrs. Sue Monroe Bridges, age 56, of 116 Woodlawn Ave., Union, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bridges was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on April 16, 1959 a daughter of the late Stanley G. Monroe and Faye White Monroe. She was a graduate of Union High School and was employed with Ellen Sagar Nursing Center. Mrs. Bridges was a loving and devoted mother. Surviving are one son, Chad Bridges and wife Angela of the home; one grandson, Connor Bridges of the home; one sister, Carol A. Lawson and husband Robert of Union; one niece, Grace Lawson; three nephews, Michael Lawson, Joshua Willard, and Matthew Lawson; and a childhood friend, Lisa H. Rogers of Union. She was predeceased by one brother, Gene Monroe. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2015 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert Lawson. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, The American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
