Susan Marie Adams

December 13, 2016 Ms. Susan Marie Adams, age 46, of 201 Deepwater Rd., Union, passed away late Monday, December 12, 2016 at her home. Ms. Adams was born in Union, SC on October 12, 1970 a daughter of Dudley J. Adams and Hazel Brown Adams. She was a graduate of Union High School and was employed with the Union County School District as a custodian at Foster Park Elementary School. Ms. Adams was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was very active and helped in various group activities with the church. Surviving in addition to her parents are one sister Tammy Adams Garner and husband Ronnie of Buffalo; one nephew, Brandon Williams of Union; two aunts, Alleen Gossett and husband Billy and Rosa Jackson and husband Ed; one uncle, James "Jabo" Brown and wife Kandy; and a number of cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Wesley and Sarah Brown and her paternal grandparents, Lolon and Margaret G. Adams. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2016 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jeff Farmer, Rev. Dr. Tommy Vaughan, and Rev. Jimmy Harper. Burial will follow at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Williams, Joel Gault, Larry Yarborough, Dale Mitchell, John Kingsmore, Kevin Smith, Jacob Robinson, and Russell Trammell. The faculty and staff of Foster Park Elementary School is asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a Church or a Charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of her parents Dudley and Hazel Adams, 1017 Sardis Rd., Union, SC 29379.
