Susan Davis “Susie” Gruver

July 25, 2019 Mrs. Susan Davis "Susie" Gruver, age 71, wife of Bryan "Rip" Gruver, of 306 Wilson St., Union, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Gruver was born July 8, 1948 in Union, a daughter of the late Joseph E. Davis and Florence Couch Davis. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired after over 46 years from the Child Enrichment Center at Mon Aetna. Mrs. Gruver was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Jank Gruver and wife Aleshia and Bryan Scott Gruver all of Union; a sister, Jo Ann Segars and husband Ray of Greenville; a grandson, Joseph Brett Gruver of Union; a step-grandson, Hayden Meadows of Union; and a niece, Veronica "Roni" Snyder of Florida. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Chris Gulledge. Visitation will be immediately following the graveside service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mon Aetna Child Enrichment Center, 1431 Lockhart Highway, Union, SC 29379.
