Ted Donald Babb

Mr. Ted Donald Babb, age 88, of 2008 Whitmire Hwy., widower of Muriel Lawson Babb, passed away Friday, October 18, 2018 at his home. Mr. Babb was born January 10, 1930 in Buffalo, a son of the late Robert Babb and Hazel Brooks Babb. He was a Veteran of the United State Army having served in Germany after World War II. Mr. Babb was retired from Cone Mill Carlisle Finishing Plant. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and attended Buffalo United Methodist Church. Mr. Babb was a member of the American Legion of Buffalo. Surviving are one daughter, Marlene Varner of Buffalo; one sister, Laura Childers of Buffalo; one granddaughter, Melissa Sousa and husband Jon; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Gregory and wife Stacy and Emma Jarrett; and two great-great-grandchildren, Cliff Gregory and Ariel Gregory. He was predeceased by three sisters, Lucille Hubbard, Barbara Lawson, and Vivian Johnson and two brothers, Terrence Babb and C.L. Babb. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Miriam Mick. Visitation will be held at after the services. Memorials may be made to Buffalo United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 176, Buffalo, SC 29321. The family is at the home, 2008 Whitmire Hwy., Union, SC 29379.
