Mr. Ted Garland Lovelace, age 62, husband of Tammie Ramsey Lovelace of 106 Lovelace Circle, Union, passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mr. Lovelace was born in Union, March 26, 1952, a son of the late Calvin and Betty Sumner Lovelace. He was a 1972 graduate of Union High School and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mr. Lovelace was employed with Union County School District, Maintenance Shop and was owner operator of Ted's Auto Service. He was a former member of the Independent Garage Owners Association. Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister, Barbara Bowman and husband Jack of Union; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Turner and husband Chuck of Roebuck; three step-sons: Roman Walker and wife Emily of Newman, Ga, Darren Canupp and wife Mandy of Duncan and Chad Canupp of Asheville; seven grandchildren: Breeland Walker, Chandler Turner, Chase Turner, Jensyn Turner, Amanda Mendoza, Joshua Canupp and Brennen Canupp; two nieces, Angie Hines and Stacy Allen; two great-nieces, MacKenzie Allen and Grayson Allen and special friend, Robert Gibson of Union Mr. Lovelace was predeceased by a brother, Benny Ray Lovelace. Memorials services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 18 2014 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Scott and Mr. Robert Gibson. Visitation will be held in the chapel immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Secret Santa, 201 S. Church Street, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 106 Lovelace Circle, Union.
