Terri Knox Haire

Ms. Terri Maxine Knox Haire, age 75 of 102 Second St., Union, passed away, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Heartland of Union after a lengthy illness.

Ms. Haire was born in Union, October 14, 1946, a daughter of the late Ralph Vernon "Cotton" Knox and Kathleen Alexander Knox. She was a graduate of Boone High School in Orlando, FL and became a licensed cosmetologist with a degree from The Barber College in Orlando. She later opened her own business called ACT III Hairstyling. Ms. Haire also worked for Martin Marietta in Orlando until her return to Union in 1992. She worked at Timken Co., for many years until her health declined.

Ms. Haire was a member of Ottaray Baptist Church. Friends and family will always remember her for her ready smile, quick wit, laughter, and her love for yard sales to look for vintage dishes and figurines. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are two sons, William "Billy" Haire and wife Sami, and Hughie Todd Haire all of Union; and a brother, Ralph Michael Knox and wife Shelley of Gilbert. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Specialist August Dillon Haire and wife Amanda of Ft. Bragg, NC, Natalie Haire Blaylock and husband Nathaniel of Aiken and William Mathew Haire of Lincolnton, NC; one great-granddaughter, Ava Rose Haire and a second great-grandchild due in March; and three nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Ray Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Walter Holcombe. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 4:00 Wednesday at the chapel prior to the service.

The family will be at the home, 102 Second St., Union.
