Mrs. Thelma Pearson Turner, age 82, wife of Loyd E Turner, of Jonesville, went to her Heavenly Home, Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Mrs. Turner was born in Spartanburg County, March 11, 1943, a daughter of the late James and Mildred Phillips Pearson. She had worked at Butte Knit, but later became a homemaker where she was able to spoil her grandchildren and her dogs. Mrs. Turner loved to cook, fish and play bingo. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband of 38 years, Loyd, she is survived by daughters, Debbie Edwards and her husband, Joel of Inman and Marie Birdsong of Jonesville. Mrs. Turner is also survived by grandchildren, Joel Edwards (Melody), Amy Phillips (Lonnie), Kristy Foster (Matt), Brittany Millwood (Brian), Stevie Pettie (Amber) and Autumn Jolly (Zack). There are 22 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren surviving. She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Patty Johnson Gault and Dennis Gault. Mrs. Turner was first married to Robert (Sonny) Johnson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 7:30 PM at Ottary Baptist Church Conducted by Rev. Jack Anderson. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

The family will be at the home of her grandson and his wife, Stevie and Amber Pettie, 202 Pineneedle Rd., Union, SC, 29379 and granddaughter and her husband Amy and Lonnie Phillips of 865 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Pauline, SC, 29374.
