Theron Gettys Adams

Mr. Theron Gettys Adams, age 80, of 1115 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, widower of Beverly Moore Adams, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at Heartland of Union.

Mr. Adams was born in the Pea Ridge community of Union Co., July 1, 1940, a son of the late Robert Gettys Adams and Mittie Sanders Adams. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Technical College.  He retired from Sears and Roebuck where he had worked as the authorized repairman. Mr. Adams was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter Phyllis A. Kelly and husband Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly of Varnville; a granddaughter, Rebekah Kelly; brother, Tommy Adams; a sister-in-law, Joyce T. Moore, two nephews, Mike Moore and wife Tami and Joe Moore and a niece-in-law, Karen H. Moore. He was predeceased by a nephew, Rev. Dr. James Alfred Moore, Jr.

The family wishes to express a special "Thank You" to C and D Wings at Heartland Nursing Center and to Heartland Hospice for their care of Mr. Adams during his illness.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly.

The family will be at the home, 1115 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union.
