Thomas Jay Elston Union, Sc

September 3, 2014 Mr. Thomas Jay "T.J" Elston (Austin), age 23 of 231 Hancock St., Union, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. Mr. Elston was born in Union, February 28, 1991. He was the son of Joel Elston of Mechanicsville, VA, Ava Gail Moss Hendrix and her husband Donnie and Thomas B. Austin and fiancée Angela Kelly all of Union. He was currently residing in Columbia and working at Columbia Farms. Mr. Elston attended AC Flora High School. Surviving in addition to his parents are his fiancée Sabrina Alexis McKeown of Columbia and her children, Kyrell Hemingway, Jr. and Nevaeh Hemingway; two sisters, Amanda Hendrix of Union and Kayla Reid of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Kyle Reid of Union; his paternal grandmother, Sherry Austin of Union; a step-sister, Ashley Hendrix; three special cousins, Carra, Cassidy and Caylee Austin and numerous, loving aunts, uncles and other cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, George Austin, and maternal grandparents, Reggie and Margie Millwood Moss. A memorial services will be held 6:30 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Covenant Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Wayne Cooke and Rev. Scott Cobb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the T.J. Elston Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of his grandmother, Sherry Austin, 231 Hancock St., Union.
