Mr. Thomas Floyd "Hook" Garner, age 61, of 320 South Mountain St., Union, passed away, Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Mr. Garner was born July 20, 1963, in Union, a son of Joan Carter Garner and the late Claude A. Garner, Sr.  He was a graduate of Union High School, Class of 1982. Mr. Garner was retired from the Timken Company and was of the Methodist faith.

"Hook" was a kind and loving man who made friends easy. He was very generous and like to "joke/cut up" with others. He had a big heart and always had so much love for others, especially his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Stacy Bright (Antonio Griffin) of Newberry; two granddaughters, Aliyah Bright and Alana Griffin both of Newberry; a sister, Crystal Garner Seymore (Clyde) of Union; two brothers, Al Garner (Jackie) and David A. Garner (Wanda)  all of Union; a half-sister, Sue Lozier (Greg) of Shelby, NC; two aunts Annette Garner (Bill) and Sonja Hicks all of Union; two uncles, Floyd W. Carter and Dennis Carter (Dianne) all of Union; and numerous nieces and nephews; and his former wife and friend Deborah Garner of Union. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Helen Carter, paternal grandparents, Albert and Ethel Garner and his best friend, Logan Carter.

The family would like to express a special "Thank you" to Dolores Hitner, for her love and care for Hook.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Jerry McKee.

Visitation will immediately follow the graveside at Rosemont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Children Hospital, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605 or St. Jude Children's Hospital 2101 Rexford Rd. #165W, Charlotte, NC 28211.

The family is at their respective homes.
