Thomas Earl Poole, Jr.

Mr. Thomas Earl Poole, Jr., age 68, of 205 Erwin Ave., Union, widow of Barbara Jean Hollingsworth Poole, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Poole was born in Union, April 28, 1952, a son of the late Thomas E. Poole, Sr. and Betty Sue Gardner Poole. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Poole retired as a certified welder with Triad Machine Shop in Spartanburg and had formerly worked with Crawford Logging. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of Putman Baptist Church. Mr. Poole was first married to Patty Faye Locklear Todd of North Carolina.

Surviving are six daughters, Debra Poole and husband Roy Rhinehart of Fountain Inn, Brenda McKeown and husband Pete, Melissa Poole and friend Steve Berry, Amber Morales and husband Armando, Kayla Poole and fiancé Charles Perry, Jr., and Heather Barber all of Union; a son, Michael Poole and friend Shelly Karcanes of Union; a sister, Cheryl Meeks Poole of Spartanburg and a brother, James Poole and wife Cathy of Buffalo. Mr. Poole is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Putman Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Mann. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Rhinehart, Jimmy Rhinehart, Joey Northern, Steve Berry, Armando Morales, Charles Perry, Jr., Bradley McKeown, Dru Anderson and Pete McKeown.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Brenda and Pete McKeown, 124 Park St., Union.
