Thomas H. "Tom" Garner, Jr.

Mr. Thomas Harold "Tom" Garner, Jr., age 72, of Prosperity SC passed away on December 28, 2022. He was the widower of Dianne Garner.

Mr. Garner was born, June 26, 1950, to the late Harold and Elnora Garner of Pacolet. He was a graduate of Pacolet High School, class of 1968 and Georgia Southern University, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Tom served in the South Carolina National Guard and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired superintendent for commercial construction sites. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, his passion for hunting and fishing with family and friends took him on numerous adventures where they made forever memories. Tom was also known to be one of the best Crappie fishermen on Lake Murray.

Surviving are a brother Rick Garner and wife Joyce; two nephews Taylor Garner and wife Alisha and Lee Garner; one great niece Emalee Garner and 2 great nephews: Thomas Garner and Seth "Kenny" Garner all of Pacolet, SC. Roger Paul was an invaluable neighbor, friend and caregiver to Tom following his back surgery this past year.

The family will receive friends Saturday January 7, 2023 from 2:00 until 4:00 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Avenue, Jonesville, SC. A private family interment will be held.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses of Prisma Richland Memorial 10 West and MICU for their care of Tom.
