May 28, 2016 Mr. Thomas William "Tom" Lawson, age 67, husband of Mary Tomlin Lawson of 108 Sugar Creek Rd., Buffalo, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Mr. Lawson was born in Buffalo, July 27, 1948, a son of the late William Leonidas Lawson and Bertie Mae Nance Lawson. He was a graduate of Union High School and attended Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Lawson was formerly employed with WABCO in Duncan and was a member of Putman Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Doris L. Garner and husband Kent and Ann L. Ketterman all of Union; a brother, John W. Lawson and wife Lennis of Union; and numerous nieces and nephews including Carley B. Garner, a niece reared in the home. Mr. Lawson was predeceased by a brother, James L. Lawson and a brother-in-law, Stanley Ketterman. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Putman Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Mann. The family will receive friends after the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Putman Baptist Church, Faith Fund, 3692 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, SC 29321. The family will be at the home, 108 Sugar Creek Rd., Buffalo.
