Tim R. Robinson

Mr. Timothy Ray Robinson, age 64, husband of Kathy Shook Robinson of 2251 Lockhart Hwy., Union, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 4, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Robinson was born in Union, November 11, 1958, a son of the late Raymond "Buddy" Robinson and Faye Stalsworth Robinson. He was a 1977 graduate of Union High School and was previously employed with Premiere Colors. Tim was a devoted and accomplished musician for over 40 years having played with a number of bands. He was considered a "Rock Star" to many of his fans and friends. Tim was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 32 years, Kathy, are two daughters, Reah Robinson of Concord, NC, and Raven Sumner of Union; three sisters, Sherry Connell of Clemson, Cathy Robinson and Melanie R. Holcombe and husband Willie all of Union; nine grandchildren, De'Andre, Jaida, Tatiana, Carmen, Noah, Maddox, Hayden, Spencer, and Harper, and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Robinson was predeceased by a son, Casey Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Brad Goodale. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the services. The family asks that members of the Da-Kota Band and anyone who played music with Tim to sit in a group.
