Troy J. Burgess

Mr. Troy Jay Burgess, age 62 of 525 Littlejohn Rd., Jonesville, passed away Sunday, March 22. 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Burgess was born in Union, December 8, 1963, a son of the late L.J. and Virginia Turner Burgess. Troy was a self-employed construction worker and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Skull Shoals Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter: Loretta Lynn Burgess of the home; a sister, Angie Jones and husband Danny of Buffalo; a step sister, Cynthia Roberts of Jonesville; a step brother, Shane Duckett of Boiling Springs; and a brother-in-law, Ricky Roberts of Jonesville. He is also survived by a niece Jada Waters and nephews, Chaz Roberts and Michael Vanderford and a great niece Sophia Waters. He was predeceased by a daughter, Shelly Ann Marie Burgess, a sister, Scarlett Roberts and a step brother, Kenny Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at Jonesville Memorial Gardens at a later date.
