Troy Arnold Wright

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father, Papa, and friend. Troy Arnold Wright, son of the late Forest Eldred and Elsie Eubanks Wright, passed away peacefully at the age of 79, after an extended illness on Saturday, April 25,2026.

He was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in the lives of his two children and five cherished grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in watching them grow, always offering guidance, humor and unwavering support.

An avid outdoorsman, he had a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. Whether it was early mornings in a tree stand, or quiet afternoons by the water, he found peace and happiness in nature. He loved sharing these moments with his family and friends, creating lasting memories and passing down traditions that will last for generations.

He will be remembered for his strength, kindness and steady presence. His legacy lives on in the family he so deeply loved and in the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his two children Tracy Wright Vermillion (Jon) of Blythewood, SC and Troy Wright (Jennifer) of Union, SC five grandchildren, Kourtney, Karson and Karrah Vermillion and Amelia and Ian Wright. A sister Renea Wright of Greer, SC niece Nicole Fowler (Brian) of Lyman, SC and nephew Kevin Lomax (Beth) of Santa Fe, NM, and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A devoted member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church, he will be honored in a graveside service on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arnold’s memory to Mt. Joy Ministry Fund, 657 Pea Ridge Highway, Jonesville, SC 29353.

The family is at the home of his son, Troy and Jennifer Wright, 400 Pine Street, Union, SC 29379.
