Valerie Davis Crisp

Mrs. Valerie Davis Crisp, 84, of 145 Joe Eubanks Rd., Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the Hospice House of Spartanburg after a brief illness.

Valerie was the 4th child of William and Frances West Davis born on May 27, 1935 in the Buffalo Mill Village.  After retiring from Buffalo Mill she enjoyed her free time working in her yard and spending time with her family especially her grands. She was a member of Putman Baptist Church where she sang in the choir while her health permitted. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Crisp Burnett her beloved grandchildren Jonathan Burnett and wife Meagan and Jenny Langenfeld and husband Jonathan; her three precious great granddaughters Natalie Garner, Jaiden Burnett and Lilly Langenfeld; a sister Mazel Lee Palmer; a brother Leon Davis; a sister in law Violet Davis High and her many nieces and nephews who brought her lots of joy and laughter. She was predeceased by her sisters Montina (Marvin) Rickard, Bessie (Pierce) Brown; her brother Elbert Davis; a sister-in-law, Edna Davis and a brother-in-law, Reid Palmer. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Putman Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Donald Tillman and Rev. Tommy Mann.

Active pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephews Jason Butler, Bucky Butler, Jr., Jimmy Brown, Bob Davis, John Mark Davis, Jordan Callahan, Mark Brock and Leon Davis, Jr.

The family will receive friends immediately following the services. The family would like to recognize and thank the staff at Spartanburg Hospice House for the care and kindness shown to them at this time.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
