Mrs. Velda Turner Haney, age 78, of 912 Flat Dr., Buffalo, widow of Fred Edward Haney, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Haney was born in Union, SC on July 6, 1938 a daughter of the late Clarence Austin Turner and Juanita Faye Campbell Turner. She was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness since 1973. Surviving are one daughter Kathy Ivey of Buffalo; two sons, Stanley Haney and wife Tammy and Eddie Haney all of Buffalo; two sisters, Virginia Dockery of Union and Ruth Gothia of Texas; two brothers, David Wayne Turner and wife Junita Faye and Harold Roy Turner and wife Susan all of Buffalo; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Vickie Davis; one daughter, Karen Dianne Ruff; one grandchild, Gary Atchley; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Brother Joe Adams and Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Velda T. Haney Fund, PO Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her sister, Virginia Dockery, 133 Tanglewood Dr., Union, SC 29379.
