Vickie Yvonne (Jones) Gregory

Ms. Vickie Yvonne Jones Gregory, age 64, widow of Richard Gregory, of 4180 Jonesville Lockhart Highway, Union, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at her home.

Ms. Gregory was born March 21, 1960 in Union, a daughter of Sanford Ray Jones of Newberry, South Carolina and the late Doris Smith Jones and step-daughter of the late Joann Jones. She was a graduate of Union High School and was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 40 years. Ms. Gregory was currently employed at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System where she worked for the past 5 years. Ms. Gregory was previously employed with DHEC for 15 years. Ms. Gregory was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she helped with the Food Pantry and was a member of Salt and Life Sunday School Class.

Surviving in addition to her father are a niece, Jennifer Guy-Bobo of Lexington, South Carolina and nephews, Kenny Guy, Luke Guy, Gabriel Guy and David Jones; sisters, Nicki Guy and husband Richard of Prosperity and Sybil Smith of Union; step-sisters Kristy Lawter and Laurie Abrams both of Union; brother-in-law, Willie Byars of Prosperity and sister-in-law, Tammy Jones of Newberry. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Terry Jones and Chris Prince and a sister Juanita Byars.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Lockhart Cemetery conducted by Deacon Jason Plemmons and Deacon Paul McCutcheon.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church Food Pantry, 126 Armory Road, Union, South Carolina 29379 The family will be at their respective homes.
