Mrs. Virginia E. Bishop Foster, age 78, wife of David L. Foster, of 118 Sunnydale Drive, Jonesville, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Lisa Butler.

Mrs. Foster was born November 5, 1947, in McMinnville, TN, a daughter of the late James “Sonny” Bishop and Dorothy McBride Bishop. She retired from Nestle Company in Gaffney and was a member of Union Church of Christ. Mrs. Foster loved to work puzzles and cross stitch.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, David, Mrs. Foster is survived by a daughter, Lisa F. Butler and her husband, Rick of Blacksburg, two sons, Brent Foster and his wife, Christy of Athens, TN and Jeffery Foster and his wife, Georgia of Waynesboro, GA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brittany Martin, Taylor Davis, Kyle Foster, Jacob Foster, Joshua Foster, Ricky Butler, Michael Butler and Maddi Martin; great grandchildren, Myla Davis, Krew Martin, and Stella Foster; a brother, Anthony Bishop and his wife, Carolyn; nephews, Tony, Dwayne, Timothy, and Jared; nieces, Dionnea and Tonya; brothers-in-law, Jerry Foster and his wife, Brenda and Scott Page. In addition to her mother and father, Mrs. Foster was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Brenda Sue Page.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, conducted by Kent Thompson. Burial will follow the services at Union Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Lisa Butler, 423 Young Grove Road, Blacksburg, SC.
