Virginia Brackins Crawford

September 7, 2016 Mrs. Virginia Brackins Crawford, age 79, of 142 Bruce O. Wilson Rd., Union, SC widow of James Franklin Crawford, Sr., passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Inverness Assisted Living. Mrs. Crawford was born in Spartanburg, SC a daughter of the late Edward Brackins and Alice Sprouse Brackins. She was graduate of Pacolet High School and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, James "Jimmy" Crawford, Jr. and wife Kim, Jerry Crawford and wife Carol, Joey Crawford, and Jeff Crawford and wife Heather all of Union; four sisters, Ethel Morgan, Bertha Harold, Thelma Edge and husband Bill all of Pacolet, and Betty Lou Hutt of Union; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Nancy Brock and one brother, Jimmy Brackins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Mark Truitt. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jerry "Bubba" Crawford, Frank Crawford, Phillip Crawford, Jay Crawford, Rodney Davis, and Jeffrey Davis. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday evening at Philippi Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church, 327 Philippi Church Road, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her son, Jimmy and Kim Crawford, 183 Estes Rd., Union, SC 29379.
