Virginia "Ginger" (Walker) Buchanan

Mrs. Virginia Walker "Ginger" Buchanan, age 65, of 300 Catawba St., Union, passed away, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Buchanan was born January 1, 1955 in Union, a daughter of Virginia Farmer Walker of Union and the late James Walker.  She was a 1973 graduate of Union High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina.  Mrs. Buchanan retired as a Registered Nurse from Wallace Thompson Hospital.  She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter, Lindzey Weaver and husband Greg of Union; two brothers, Robert Walker of Raleigh and Eric Walker and wife Susan of Buffalo; and three grandchildren, Bryson, Nathan, and Colton Weaver.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2020 at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. David Bauknight.

Due to the current upswing in COVID 19 cases, the family respectfully request that those attending the funeral follow social distancing protocol and wear a mask for your safety as well as others.
