Mrs. Vivian Robinson Adams, age 91 of 113 Philippi Church Road, Union, widow of Claude Adams passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Adams was born in the Adamsburg Community of Union, a daughter of the late Ester Robinson and Cora Boulware Robinson. She was the former owner - operator of the Village Hut Clothing and previously worked at Excelsior Mills. Mrs. Adams was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Mattie R. Turner and husband Bobby with whom she made her home; a brother, Olin Robinson of Union; a daughter-in-law, Carol Adams of Pickens and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by a son, Kerry L. Adams; three sisters, Lucille Grant, Ruby Cudd and Sarah R. Rice and six brothers: Denny Robinson, Heyward Robinson, Clyde Robinson, Raymond Robinson, Eddie Robinson and Ester Robinson, Jr. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Adams nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Members of Mrs. Adams Sunday school class are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held 1:45-2:45 PM Sunday in the church prior to the service.
