Mrs. Waleanor Eaves Kirby, age 91, of 217 City View Circle, Union, widow of William Walter "Bill" Kirby, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Kirby was born in Kelton, November 4, 1931, a daughter of the late Mardis Eaves and Pearl Gault Eaves Ford. She was a graduate of Kelly-Pinckney High School and retired from Conso Products. Mrs. Kirby was a devoted member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church where she helped teach the Loyalty Sunday School Class and attended the Shep Whitener Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Eugenia Smith Circle and also served on various other committees. Mrs. Kirby enjoyed the outdoors especially walking. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving are a daughter, Wanda Allen and husband Phillip of Murfreesboro, TN; a son, Keith Kirby and wife Renee of North Augusta; three sisters, Judy Bright and husband J.D. of Union, Miriam Gregory of Jonesville and Marilyn Sicay and husband George of Hampton, VA; two brothers, Buddy Eaves and Wayne Eaves and wife Virginia all of Jonesville; four sisters-in-law, Emily Eaves and Annette Eaves both of Jonesville, Laurice Kirby Sumner of Lockhart, Nina Kirby Herr of Carlisle, PA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Allen and wife Kristi of Murfreesboro, TN, Roxanne Allen of Franklin, TN, and Leslie Allen of Villa Rica, GA; three great-grandsons, Tanner Allen, Oliver Allen and Elijah Snyder and two great-granddaughters, Ruby Allen and Izzy Stewart. She was predeceased by an infant son, William Walter, Jr.; four sisters, Donnis Knox, Myrtle Kelly, Ollie Chambers and Meynelle Jennings, and three brothers, James "Cotton" Eaves, Kenneth Eaves and Tom Eaves.

The family wishes to say a special Thank You to Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice for their care of Mrs. Kirby during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will follow at Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Troy Knox, Jeffrey Bright, Doran Eaves, Tim Gregory, Kenny Jennings and Dallas Sicay.

Member of the Shep Whitener Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group.

Memorials may be made to Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, 417 Rice Ave., Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home, 217 City View Circle, Union.
