Wallace Dean Lanier

Mr. Wallace Dean Lanier, age 70 of 107 Lanier Lane, Union, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Lanier was born in Union, July 25, 1950, a son of the late Jake and Maggie Burgess Lanier. He was a retired auto mechanic and had previously own a landscaping company. Mr. Lanier had also done contract work for Bellsouth telephone. He also loved to "tinker" on things and take care of his family. He loved helping others, his dogs and his coffee.

Surviving are his daughter, Lorrie Zicafoose and husband Donald; two granddaughters, Samantha Stokely and Maggie Bowers all of Union; a grandson, Jerry Stokely and wife Taylor of Spartanburg; a great-grandson, Bentley Stokely and a great-granddaughter, expected in May, Everleigh Stines. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Burgess and husband Wayne and a brother, Thomas Ray Lanier, all of Union, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Lanier.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, November 27, 2020 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
