Wallace P. Whitehead, Jr.

April 17, 2018 Mr. Wallace Preston Whitehead, Jr., age 51 of 127 Grant Rd., Union, passed away at his home, Monday April 16, 2018. Mr. Whitehead was born in Union, October 20, 1966, a son of Brenda Carol Matthews Whitehead of Union and the late Wallace P. Whitehead, Sr. He was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing. Mr. Whitehead was a very hardworking, God-fearing, family man who loved to help his family and friends any way he could. Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Matthew Austin Whitehead of the home; his best friend for over 20 years, Dawn Wynn; two step-sons, Michael Wynn and Kenneth Wynn; a sister, Debra W. Mitchell; one nephew, William Mitchell; one niece, Jessie Mitchell and a step-grandson, Cayden Wynn. Mr. Whitehead was predeceased by a brother, Gene Whitehead. A memorial service will be scheduled by the family for a later date.
