Walter Lee Broome

Mr. Walter Lee Broome, age 66, husband of Darlene Wyatt Broome of 501 Canupp Rd., Sharon, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2021 at Piedmont Medical in Rock Hill.

Mr. Broome was born in Union, July 17, 1954, a son of the late Neely V. Broome, Jr. and Harriett Nichols Broome. He was a graduate of Hickory Grove High School and York Tech. He was retired from Innova Disc Golf in Rock Hill. Mr. Broome was a former member of Bullock Creek Volunteer Fire Dept and was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition of his wife are three sons, Robert Neely Broome and wife Sharelle of Sharon, James Lee Broome and wife Angie of York and Matthew Alan Broome and wife Tiffany of Sharon; a brother, Ronald Keith Broome and wife Angela of York; a sister-in-law, Karen W. Moye of Sharon; ten grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his fur baby, Trixie.

Due to the current health crisis, no services are scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family will be at the home of his son, 8125 Oak Tree Rd., Sharon.
