Walter Steven Horne Union, Sc

Mr. Walter Steven Horne, age 70, husband of Cynthia Scott Horne of 4118 Lockhart Hwy, Union went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 6, 2015 at his home. Mr. Horne was born in Union, SC November 10, 1944, a son of the late Sara Horne Rogers. He retired from Timken and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sherri H. Williams and husband Robert of Buffalo; a son, Steven Scott Horne; a brother, Perry D. Rogers both of Union; five grandchildren: Noah J. McCutcheon, Jonah P. McCutcheon, Justin Williams, Tiffany Williams and Donnie Williams all of Buffalo; seven great-grandchildren and a mother-in-law, Lois M. Scott of the home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Robert Scott. Active pallbearers will be Robert Palmer, Todd Palmer, Kevin Scott, Steve Gibson, Rev. Robert Scott and Marty Reardon. The following are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers: Kenny Scott, J.G. Gibson, P.D. Harris and Mickey Cranford. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 103B Boyce Street, Union, SC 29379 or to Philippi Baptist Church, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.
