Wayne Morris Union, SC Mr. Wayne Morris age 72, husband of Sharon Moss Morris of 313 Catawba St., Union, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Mr. Morris was born in Union, February 10, 1942, a son of the late Boyce "Bo" Morris and Inez Knox Howell and step-son of the late J.W. Howell. Mr. Morris was retired from Torrington Co., and also retired as regional manager for the Spartanburg Herald Journal. He was a graduate of Union High School and a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Beverly Morris, Susan Waller, Sheri Nash all of Union and Jolene Parris and husband Buddy of Pacolet; two sons, Michael Maness of Union and Keith Maness of Winston Salem, NC; a sister, Patricia Cato of Spartanburg and a brother, Larry Morris of Union; grandchildren, Shon Morris, Adam McDade, Daniel McDade, Stephen McDade, Joshua Johnson, John Dylan Maness, Jarrod Maness, Andrea Nash, Christina Maness and Michelle Maness; great-grandchildren, Kaydie McDade, Christian McDade, Emma McDade, and Nolan Pauley. Mr. Morris is also survived by his loving pet dog Willie and is predeceased by his beloved dog, Poo. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Chapel conducted by Rev. Rick Pendleton. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Adam McDade, Daniel McDade, Stephen McDade, John Dylan Maness, Joshua Johnson and Zane Morris. The following are asked to serve as the honorary pallbearers, members of Mr. Morris' Sunday School Class, Ben Wages, Tommy Knox, Roger Knox, Ken Fowler, Harold Fowler, and Bruce Morris. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 405 E. Main St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 313 Catawba St., Union.
