Wiliam Scott Bennett

Mr. William Scott Bennett, age 52, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in Gaffney.

Scott was born in Spartanburg, January 27, 1974, the son of Steve R. Bennett and the late Glenda Rochester Bennett. He was a Respiratory Therapist and a Firefighter. Scott picked occupations that allowed him to help people because he loved helping others. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a graduate of Spartanburg Tech. Scott was also a Navy veteran.

In addition to his father, Steve, Scott is survived by a brother, J. Brian Bennett and his wife, Christen of Pacolet and a sister, Stephanie Reynolds and her husband, Derek of Blacksburg. He is also survived by nieces, Sheree B. Larson and her husband, Alex, and Rebecca Reynolds, a nephew, Paxton Reynolds and great nieces, Bella Larson and Melody Larson and a great nephew, Nickoli Larson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Hammett Grove Baptist Church, 634 Hammett Grove Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Rev. David Sellars and Rev. Alex Larson.
