Mr. William Gilbert "Bill" Gregory, age 83, husband of Lillie Keisler Gregory of 108 Fourth St., Union, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gregory was born in Gaffney, June 27, 1934, a son of the late Robert Vance Gregory and Bertha Bruce Gregory. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and was former owner and operator of Bill's Flea Market. Mr. Gregory was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sheila Alexander of Ninety Six and Susan Erskin and husband Charlie of Greenwood; three sons, Wendell Franklin Gregory and wife Jane of Gray Court, Terry Gilbert Gregory and wife Jan of Greenwood and W. Michael Hawkins, Sr. and wife June of Union; a sister, Eloise G. Moore of Ninety Six; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mr. Gregory was predeceased by two sons, Robert William Gregory and Roger Crawford Gregory, one sister, Thelma Brodie, two half-brothers and one-half sister. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 2:30 Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by his grandson, Dale Alexander. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:30PM at the chapel prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202. The family will be at the home, 108 Fourth St., Union.
