William Reginald “Bill” Yarbrough, Sr.

Mr. William Reginald "Bill" Yarbrough, Sr., age 83, husband of Dodie Pharr Yarbrough, of 122 O'Dell St., Whitmire, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home. Mr. Yarbrough was born June 6, 1936 in Whitmire, a son of the late William Dewitt Yarbrough and Virgie Thomas Yarbrough. He was a graduate of Whitmire High School and continued his education through the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Yarbrough retired as a Lt. Col. after 38 years from the South Carolina National Guard, having served in the 4th Battalion in the 118th Infantry. He was formerly employed with the South Carolina Housing Authority and American Security in Whitmire. Mr. Yarbrough attended Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Lisa Bundrick and husband Ronnie of Whitmire; two sons, Reggie Yarbrough of Whitmire and Kyle Yarbrough of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Brooks. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by the Rev. Eddie Duncan. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Whitmire Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church, 21 Broome St., Whitmire, SC 29178. The family is at the home, 122 O'Dell St., Whitmire, SC 29178.
