William V. "Billy" Haire

Mr. William Vernon "Billy" Haire, age 54 of 1708 Union Blvd., Union, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Mr. Haire was born on May 11, 1970 in Orlando, FL, a son of Hughie P. Haire of Alabama and the late Terri Knox Haire. He was a 1989 graduate of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. Mr. Haire moved to Union in 1993 and married Sami Holcombe Haire in July of 1996. He was previously employed with Bi-Lo in Union as 3rd shift manager for 10 years and retired after 15 years with Concrete Supply in Spartanburg as a truck driver. He enjoyed drag racing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and his dogs, Nyla, Buddy, and Pup-Pup.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 29 years, Sami, are a daughter, Natalie Grace Blaylock and husband Nathaniel of Aiken; a son, August Dillon Haire of Escondido, CA; a brother, Hughie "Todd" Haire of Union; two granddaughters who he loved dearly, Ava Rose Haire and Evelyn Paisley "Evie" Blaylock and a grandson, Lynux Alexander Blaylock due to be born in June. He is also survived by a nephew, aunts and uncles and several cousins including Stevie Knox and wife Mary of Union and Mike Haire of Orlando, FL. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ralph "Cotton" and Kathleen Knox of Union and Alec and Claire Haire of Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Bill Randall. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Those in attendance are asked to dress casually or wear camouflage as Billy would like.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of his brother, Todd Haire, 102 Second St., Union, SC.
