William Larkin “Billy” Trantham

June 6, 2017 Mr. William Larkin "Billy"Trantham, age 70, of 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union widower of Melinda Ann Fleming Trantham, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Mr. Trantham was born in Union, SC October 29, 1946 a son of the late William Thomas Trantham and Effie Gaynelle Franklin Trantham. He was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from Cedar Hill Plant. Surviving are three sisters, Bobbie T. Barber and husband Charles, Andrea T. Whitener, and Linda T. Betenbaugh all of Union; one brother, Wayne A. Trantham of Union; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Rebekah DeBruhl, Sarah T. Belue, Mary T. Hodge, and Myrtle T. Bolton and one brother, Thomas Trantham. Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held after the services at the cemetery. The family will be at the home of his sister, Andrea Whitener, 107 Crestview Dr., Union, SC 29379.
